▎ 摘  要

NOVELTY - A membrane distillation system comprises a direct contact membrane distillation module which has a nano- carbon-coated membrane sized to produce high purity water. USE - Membrane distillation system is used to generate high purity water from bacteria and endotoxin-contaminated water. ADVANTAGE - Membrane distillation systems enables to achieve beneficial biocidal effects, while preparing high purity water. The systems effectively solve the detrimental effects of mesophilic and thermophilic bacteria and endotoxins, during the water purification process. The nanocarbon-immobilized membranes of the system, are effective in producing ultrapure, medical grade water. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for the method used for removing mesophilic and thermophilic bacterial cells and endotoxins from a feedstream, which involves: a) providing a direct contact membrane distillation system; b) passing the feedstream comprising mesophilic bacterial cells, thermophilic bacterial cells and/or endotoxins through the membrane module of system; and c) forming a distillate from the membrane module, containing a reduced level of mesophilic bacterial cells, thermophilic bacterial cells and endotoxins.
