NOVELTY - Graphene oxide/carbon composite material comprises graphene oxide sheet compounded on the surface of a carbon framework. The material has a porous structure. USE - The graphene oxide/carbon composite material is useful in water treatment (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The composite material maximizes the contact area between graphene oxide and wastewater; improves the effect and sustainability of sewage treatment; ensures that the graphene oxide after adsorbing impurities can be recycled and reused after high temperature treatment; has simple porous material assembly; is easy to disassemble the structure and is easy to maintain. The method has simple process, mild conditions and strong environmental protection and is more suitable for industrialization popularization and application. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing graphene oxide/carbon composite material comprising (a) mixing the graphene oxide, complexing agent and the solvent, obtaining mixed solution, (b) placing the polymer foam material in the mixed solution obtained in the step (a), drying to obtain an intermediate product and (c) subjecting the intermediate product obtained in the step (b) to heat treatment under a protective atmosphere to obtain a graphene oxide/carbon composite material.
