NOVELTY - An iron-based complex oxide/graphene composite material comprises a laminated structure comprising nanoscale iron-based complex oxide and graphene. USE - Iron-based complex oxide/graphene composite material for use as cathode material of lithium ion battery (Claimed). ADVANTAGE - The material is prepared with improved cycling stability and low energy consumption in a simple, inexpensive and rapid manner. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An iron-based complex oxide/graphene composite material comprises a laminated structure comprising nanoscale iron-based complex oxide (MFe2O4) and graphene, where the M is manganese, copper, cobalt or nickel. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a method for preparing iron-based complex oxide/graphene composite material, which involves dissolving trivalent iron salt and second M salt at a ratio of 2:1 in de-ionized water or organic solvent to obtain mixed solution (0.015-0.15 mol/l), dispersing graphene oxide (1-35%) of the iron-based complex oxide (MFe2O4) in the mixed solution ultrasonically to obtain mixture, where the M is manganese, copper, cobalt or nickel, followed by adding alkaline regulator to the mixture to adjust pH of the mixture to 8-9.5, sealing the resultant mixture, raising temperature to 190-280 degrees C to perform reaction for 22-48 hours to obtain a reaction product, cooling the reaction product to obtain a solid product, washing the solid product using with de-ionized water and absolute ethyl alcohol and drying the washed product to obtain finished product.
