NOVELTY - A piezoresistive sensor comprises an ultralight piezoresistive foam material (UPFM) in releasable contact with an elastic substrate. USE - Piezoresistive sensor used in wearable article for measuring or detecting bodily movement of subject (all claimed) e.g. heartbeat, brain activity, limb movement, internal organ activity and muscle oscillation of human or animal. Uses include but are not limited to glove, wrist band, arm band, ankle band, leg band, knee compression band, knee support band, collar band, head band, and chest band. ADVANTAGE - The sensor is robust, durable, has low response time, excellent piezoresistive properties, sensitivity, accuracy, repeatability, and dynamic sensing capability over a broad frequency range due to improved durability, stretchability, bendability and flexibility of UPFM. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for manufacture of the sensor.
