NOVELTY - Making lactobionic acid modified graphene oxide involves reacting graphene oxide (GO) and 1-ethyl-3-(3-dimethylaminopropyl)carbodiimide (EDC), then adding polyethylene imine (PEI) solution to form GO-PEI; reacting lactobionic acid (LA), EDC and N-hydroxysuccinimide (NHS) to form PEG-LA; dissolving GO-PEI in water, adding fluoresce in isothiocyanate (FITC) solution; then adding polyethylene glycol (PEG)-LA and reacting to form GO-PEI-F1-PEG-LA; adding the GO-PEI-F1-PEG-LA in triethylamine and mixing, then adding acetic anhydride, reacting to obtain lactobionic acid modified graphene oxide. USE - For preparing lactobionic acid modified graphene oxide (claimed0) useful for sustain release of drugs (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method is simple and has mild condition. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing lactobionic acid modified graphene oxide involves dispersing graphene oxide (GO) in solvent, adding 1-ethyl-3-(3-dimethylaminopropyl)carbodiimide (EDC), then adding polyethylene imine (PEI) solution, reacting for 12-24 hours under normal temperature condition, dialyzing, freezing and drying to form GO-PEI; dissolving lactobionic acid (LA) in phosphate buffering liquid, adding EDC and N-hydroxysuccinimide (NHS) for 2-3 hours, adding NH2-mPEG-COOH, and reacting under normal temperature condition for 12-24 hours, dialyzing, freezing and drying to form PEG-LA; dissolving GO-PEI in water, adding fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) solution; then adding PEG-LA and reacting under normal temperature condition for 12-24 hours to form GO-PEI-F1-PEG-LA; adding the GO-PEI-F1-PEG-LA in triethylamine and mixing, then adding acetic anhydride, reacting under room temperature condition for 12-24 hours, dialyzing, freezing and drying to obtain lactobionic acid modified graphene oxide.
