NOVELTY - The source has a power supply whose an anode is connected to a first electrode i.e. flat plate or grid mesh, where the first electrode is a counter electrode. A cathode of the power supply is connected to a graphene electrode. A photo-emitting device irradiates the graphene electrode. The graphene electrode is provided with a supporting body that is provided with first and second surfaces. A graphene structure layer is arranged on the first surface of the supporting body, where the supporting body is made of a transparent hard material i.e. quartz glass. The graphene structure layer is arranged opposite to the first electrode, where thickness of the graphene structure layer is about 100 nm. A sample passes through a channel between the graphene structure layer and the first electrode. USE - Graphene-based photoelectric emission ionization source.
