NOVELTY - Preparing platinum carbon catalyst of hydrogen fuel cell involves removing the carbon carrier organic impurities by mixing and stirring the carbon carrier and organic solvent, filtering, rinsing, drying, crushing and removing organic impurity. Carbon carrier pretreatment is performed by mixing and stirring the carbon carrier with the oxidizing acid solution, filtering, rinsing to neutral, and drying for future use. Surface modification of carbon carrier is performed by stirring the absolute ethyl alcohol solution of 0.1-5 wt.% polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) and the carbon carrier, filtering the suspension and vacuum drying followed by mixing the platinum salt with deionized water uniformly, adjusting the pH, adding 4-20 mg dopamine per 40 ml platinum salt solution, stirring and mixing for 30 minutes, adding 120 mg PVP-modified carbon carrier, mechanically stirring for 5 hours, vacuum rotary evaporation at 80 degrees C, putting product into a tube furnace, and heat-treating. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing platinum carbon catalyst of hydrogen fuel cell involves removing the carbon carrier organic impurities by mixing and stirring the carbon carrier and organic solvent, filtering, rinsing, drying, crushing and removing organic impurity. Carbon carrier pretreatment is performed by mixing and stirring the carbon carrier with the oxidizing acid solution, filtering, rinsing to neutral, and drying for future use. Surface modification of carbon carrier is performed by stirring the absolute ethyl alcohol solution of 0.1-5 wt.% polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) and the carbon carrier at ratio of 1:100, ultrasonic dispersing for 30 minutes, refluxing at 60-80 degrees C for 5 hours, filtering the suspension and vacuum drying at 80 degrees C for 12 hours to obtain a carrier modified with PVP on the carbon surface followed by mixing the platinum salt with deionized water uniformly, adjusting the pH of the platinum salt solution to 3-3.5 with 0.05M hydrochloric acid solution, adding 4-20 mg dopamine per 40 ml platinum salt solution, stirring and mixing for 30 minutes, adding 120 mg PVP-modified carbon carrier, mechanically stirring for 5 hours, vacuum rotary evaporation at 80 degrees C to remove the water and grind and crush it into powder, where platinum concentration is 5mg/ml, putting product into a tube furnace, heat-treating at 250 degrees C for 1 hour in hydrogen/nitrogen mixed atmosphere, and calcinating at 500 degrees C for 1 hour to further carbonize to obtain platinum carbon catalyst.
