NOVELTY - Functional graphene/montmorillonite/lanthanum borate composite lubricant oil additive comprises functional graphene oxide, modified barium borate and montmorillonite in a mass ratio of 4:1-16:2-32. USE - Used as functional graphene/montmorillonite/lanthanum borate composite lubricant oil additive. ADVANTAGE - The additive: reduces the friction coefficient; forms self-repairing film on the worn surface; enhances the hardness of the worn surface; and improves the friction-reducing and anti-wearing ability of the friction surface. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing the lubricant oil additive, comprising (i) using graphene oxide prepared by performing modified Hummers method as a raw material, preparing a dispersion of graphene oxide, adding a silane coupling agent, reacting at 25-100 degrees C for 1-6 hours, and separating and washing to obtain functional graphene oxide, (ii) adding an aqueous solution of lanthanum nitrate and a silane coupling agent in a borax aqueous solution, heating and stirring at 60-90 degrees C at a constant temperature for 1-5 hours, cooling, and separating the modified lanthanum borate, and (iii) mixing the modified barium borate and montmorillonite with the dispersion of functional graphene oxide for 0.5-2 hours, heating to 100-200 degrees C for 1-5 hours, separating, and washing.
