NOVELTY - Producing graphene aerogels by freeze casting, comprises (a) preparing a chitosan solution, (b) freezing the prepared chitosan solution to prepare a chitosan foam, (c) drying the chitosan foam, and (d) pyrolyzing the dried chitosan foam to obtain a graphene aerogel. USE - The method is useful for producing graphene aerogels by freeze casting. ADVANTAGE - The method provides uniform nitrogen doped graphene aerogels. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for porous graphene aerogels prepared by the above method.
