NOVELTY - Preparing sheet-shaped half-metal molybdenum (IV) telluride:copper (MoTe2:Cu), and molybdenum (IV) telluride:copper/reduced graphene oxide (MoTe2:Cu/RGO) comprises (i) adding 0.002-0.004 mol tellurium powder, and 0.004-0.008 mol potassium borohydride to 10 ml deionized water, placing in a sealed environment, and reacting to obtain tellurium(II) ion precursor aqueous solution, (ii) dissolving 0.001/7x 0.965-0.002/7x 0.965 mol ammonium paramolybdate, and 0.000005-0.00001 mol copper acetate in 10 ml solvent, and then adding 0.0025-0.005 mol citric acid to obtain molybdenum ion source precursor solution, (iii) placing tellurium(II) ion precursor aqueous solution, and molybdenum ion source precursor solution in a reaction kettle, maintaining at room temperature, then increasing the temperature to 155-165 degrees C, performing hydrothermal reaction, cooling to room temperature, filtering, washing the filtrate, and drying to obtain the finished product. USE - The method is useful for preparing sheet-shaped half-metal molybdenum (IV) telluride:copper, and molybdenum (IV) telluride:copper/reduced graphene oxide. ADVANTAGE - The method: directly produces metal molybdenum telluride with a semi-metal structure; and is simple to process.
