NOVELTY - Preparing high barrier graphene oxide/nylon nano-composite material comprises e.g. (i) dissolving polyamide in organic solvents, and then dissolving graphene oxide in water, performing ultrasonic dispersion, adding polyamide solution, stirring, grafting polyamide onto graphene oxide, drying solution to obtain graphene oxide grafted polyamide, (ii) adding 98-99.7 wt.% nylon, adding 0.1-1 wt.% surface-modified graphene oxide, 0.1-0.5 wt.% antioxidant, 0.1-0.5 wt.% ultraviolet light absorbent into high speed mixer, extruding, cooling, granulating, and drying for 24 hours at 80 degrees C in oven. USE - The method is useful for preparing high barrier graphene oxide/nylon nano-composite material (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method is simple, and the product has improved barrier property, mechanical strength and heat resistance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing high barrier graphene oxide/nylon nano-composite material comprises (i) mixing polyamide and dissolving in organic solvents, then dissolving graphene oxide in water, performing ultrasonic dispersion, adding polyamide solution, stirring at room temperature for a certain time, grafting polyamide onto graphene oxide, drying solution to obtain graphene oxide grafted polyamide, (ii) adding 98-99.7 wt.% nylon, adding 0.1-1 wt.% surface-modified graphene oxide, 0.1-0.5 wt.% antioxidant, 0.1-0.5 wt.% ultraviolet light absorbent into high speed mixer at speed of 500-7000 revolution/minutes and mixing granules in twin-screw extruder, where screw temperature is 230-280 degrees C and the rotating speed is 100-500 revolution/min, the residence time of material in screw is 2-10 minutes, extruding, cooling, granulating, and then drying for 24 hours at 80 degrees C in the oven to obtain final product. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for high barrier graphene oxide/nylon nano-composite material obtained by above method.
