▎ 摘  要

NOVELTY - Graphene nanoribbons comprise at least one structural unit (I). USE - Graphene nanoribbons. Uses include but are not limited to semiconductor device, solar cell, transparent electrode, high-speed transistor, and organic electroluminescent element. ADVANTAGE - The graphene nanoribbons are produced in a short reaction steps with suppressed side reaction and reduced polydispersity. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Graphene nanoribbons comprise at least one structural unit of formula (I). R3a-R3d = H, halo, alkyl, cycloalkyl, (poly)ether group, ester, monovalent aryl, or monovalent heteroayl;and or R3a+R3b and/or R3c+R3d = ring. INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) manufacture of graphene nanoribbons, which involves polymerizing by reacting an alkyne compound of formula (II), a K region-containing aromatic compound of formula (III), and dibenzocyclooctadine, benzothiophene or benzofuran with a silole compound of formula (IV) in presence of a palladium compound and o-chloranil to obtain a K region-containing polymer, and polymerizing the K region-containing polymer with a silole compound of formula (V); (2) compound (IV); (3) manufacture of compound (IV), which involves reacting a halogen-containing silole compound of formula (VI) with a Grignard reagent of formula: R7MgX3 (VII) or a boronic acid compound of formula (VIII); (4) compound (VI); and (5) manufacture of armchair-type graphene nanoribbons, which involves subjecting a fjord-type graphene nanoribbons comprising at least one structural unit of formula (IX) to cyclocondensation reaction in presence of an iron compound. The armchair-type graphene nanoribbons comprise at least one structural unit of formula (X). R1a-R1d,R2a,R2b = H, halo, alkyl, cycloalkyl, (poly)ether group, ester, boronic acid or its ester, monovalent aryl, or monovalent heterocyclyl; k1,k2 = 1-3; A1,A2 = C or N; R6a,R6b,R9,R10 = H or alkyl; or R9+R10 = ring; R4a-R4d = R3a; or R4a+R4b and/or R4c+R4d = ring; X1,X2 = H or halo; or X1+X2 = ring containing halo; R7 = alkyl; X3 = halo;and R8 = monovalent aryl.
