NOVELTY - Preparing graphene oxide/copper oxide composite powder involves mixing copper salt solution and graphene oxide solution by uniform stirring, and then adding sodium hydroxide solution added dropwise for maintained pH between 7-15, and washing with water until neutral and dried to obtain the desired product. USE - Method for preparing graphene oxide/copper oxide composite powder for obtaining microscopic layered graphene/copper composite material (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables to prepare graphene oxide/copper oxide composite powder in a simple, easy and cost-effective manner, and has high strength, good electrical and thermal conductivity. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparing microscopic layered graphene/copper composite material, involves: (A) heating graphene oxide/copper oxide composite powder at a temperature of 200-400 degrees C, then subjecting to reduction treatment for 0.5-10 hours, under reducing atmosphere, which is hydrogen or a mixed gas of hydrogen and an inert gas; and (B) treating the graphene oxide/copper oxide composite powder by plasma electric spark sintering method, vacuum hot pressing sintering method or wrapping hot rolling method to obtain a microscopic layered graphene/copper composite material, where the volume content of hydrogen in the mixed gas is not less than 3%, inert gas is selected from argon gas, nitrogen gas, argon gas, nitrogen gas or mixture of gases.
