NOVELTY - The composition comprises graphene mixed with at least a portion of a dielectric. The percentage volume of graphene relative to the total volume of the composition is configured such that the dissipation of incident electromagnetic radiation is substantially optimized in at least a portion of the frequency range of 1 to 20 gigahertz. USE - Energy dissipation composition for minimizing radar signature of target. Can also be used for electromagnetic shielding in consumer electronics. ADVANTAGE - Provides an energy dissipation composition whose reflectivity is minimized below full electrical percolation. Enables the generation of a reflective wave of electromagnetic radiation in response to receiving the incident electromagnetic radiation, with the reflective wave facilitating destructive interference of incoming electromagnetic radiation. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a method for increasing energy dissipation in at least a portion of the frequency range of 1 to 20 gigahertz. DESCRIPTION OF DRAWING(S) - The drawing shows the graphical representation of permittivity and permeability properties of a composition comprising various filler loadings from a volume percentage of graphene.
