NOVELTY - A sensor comprises an electrode formed on a supporting substrate, a zinc oxide nanorod layer on the electrode for detecting ultrasonic waves generated by partial discharge of power equipment, a counter electrode corresponding to the electrode on the zinc oxide nanorod layer, and an upper substrate on the counter electrode. USE - Sensor used for detecting partial discharge. ADVANTAGE - The sensor detects ultrasonic waves generated by partial discharge. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for manufacture of the sensor.
