NOVELTY - Encapsulation material comprises graphene oxide, and at least one portion of the graphene oxide is modified with hydroxy group. USE - The encapsulation material is useful in encapsulation film and organic electronic device (all claimed), and for reducing penetration of moisture into panel in organic electronic device i.e. organic electroluminescent display device. ADVANTAGE - The encapsulation material prevents moisture penetration because size of hexagonal crystal structure of graphene oxide is smaller than water molecules, and provides high adhesion in graphene oxide layered structures, substrate attachment structures. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: (1) encapsulation film base film, and encapsulation layer disposed on the base film; and (2) organic electronic device comprising a substrate (101) having first region and second region outside the first region, a panel (102) disposed on the first region of the substrate and including an organic light emitting element, and at least one portion of the graphene oxide is modified with hydroxy group, and including encapsulation layer (110) disposed on the first region in which the panel is disposed, and further disposed on part of the second region, where the encapsulation layer includes a graphene oxide layer (410).
