NOVELTY - Preparing graphene oxide comprises providing graphite with layered structure, intercalation liquid, a first oxidant, a second oxidant, and an acid solution, mixing the graphite at low temperature, intercalating layer liquid, and the first oxidant, obtaining the first mixture, immersing the intercalating agent in the first oxidant and intercalation liquid in the layered structure of graphite, heating the first mixture for the first time, obtaining a second mixture, heating and decomposing the first oxidant immersed in the layered structure, spreading the layered structure, immersing a large amount of intercalating agent in the layered structure, forming a graphene oxide precursor, mixing the second oxidant and the acid solution at low temperature, performing the second heating treatment, oxidizing the graphene oxide precursor by the anhydride to generate graphite oxide and peeling the graphite oxide to obtain the single-layer graphene oxide. USE - The method is useful for preparing graphene oxide.
