NOVELTY - A graphite flake comprising graphene layers, is intercalated by stage I, II or III intercalation process, to form a graphite intercalated compound. The formed graphite intercalated compound is then exfoliated, such that individual graphene layers are separated from the graphite intercalated compound, to obtain a nanostructure. USE - Production of nanostructure such as nano-tube and Buckminster fullerene (buckyball) used for nanoscale wire, nano-motor and field-effect transistor. ADVANTAGE - The nanostructure is economically produced, with high productivity.
