NOVELTY - Non-asbestos sealing gasket comprises 15-20 pts. wt. thermoplastic rubber, 5-12 pts. wt. aromatic polyamide, 20-60 pts. wt. filler, 1-5 pts. wt. functional additives and 0.5-5 pts. wt. vulcanizing agent, where the functional additive is graphene. USE - The non-asbestos sealing gasket is used in sealing technology application (claimed) for petrochemical industry, steel smelting, drilling platforms, oil and gas exploitation, shipbuilding, papermaking, electric power, pharmaceuticals and general machinery. ADVANTAGE - The non-asbestos sealing gasket avoids the use of harmful solvents such as benzene, has excellent mechanical properties of sealing performance, and is environmentally-friendly. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparing the non-asbestos sealing gasket, which involves (i) mixing thermoplastic rubber, aromatic polyamide, filler and functional additives, performing high-speed centrifugal rotation and dense mixing, (ii) adding vulcanizing agent to the raw materials after the dense mixing and rolling into a sheet material in a open mill, and (iii) placing the sheet material in a mold of a flat vulcanizing machine and heating at 180-200 degrees C, and curing under a pressure of 8-20 MPa for 3-5 minutes, discharging and post-processing.
