NOVELTY - Manufacture of electrode involves forming (S103) an active material layer over a current collector, and performing heat treatment (S105) on the active material layer after the active material layer is impregnated (S104) with alcohol. The active material layer comprises active material particles covered with a film comprising carbon, a conductive additive, graphene oxide, and a binder. USE - Manufacture of electrode used in storage battery used for electronic device (all claimed). Uses include but are not limited to lithium-ion storage battery, lead storage battery, lithium-ion polymer storage battery, nickel-hydrogen storage battery, nickel-cadmium storage battery, nickel-iron storage battery, nickel-zinc storage battery, silver oxide-zinc storage battery, solid-state battery, air battery, primary battery, electric double layer capacitor, ultracapacitor, supercapacitor, or lithium-ion capacitor used in television receivers, monitors of computers digital cameras, digital video cameras, digital photo frames, mobile phones, portable game machines, portable information terminals, audio reproducing devices, pachinko machines, etc. ADVANTAGE - The method enables manufacture of electrode with improved electrical characteristic such as conductivity and physical properties such as flexibility and mechanical strength, reliability, and resistance to stress due to expansion and contraction of an active material. The storage battery formed using the electrode has improved cycle performance and safety, and reduced leakage of liquid. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) electrode comprising a current collector, and an active material layer over the current collector; (2) storage battery comprising the electrode and a negative electrode; and (3) electronic device comprising the storage battery, and a display panel, an operation key, a speaker, or a microphone.
