▎ 摘  要

NOVELTY - Forming a composite material comprising processed silicon oxide and graphitic carbon at least a portion of which is in graphene sheets, comprises: performing high energy mechanical milling of graphite powder with silicon oxide material having a BET surface area of 2.5-20 m2/g and a D50 volume average secondary particle size of no more than 10 microns, to form the composite material. USE - The material is useful for lithium ion cell electrodes. ADVANTAGE - The material: utilizes lithium that has been used in both primary and secondary batteries and an attractive feature of lithium metal for battery use is its light weight and fact that it is electropositive metal; has reasonable configurations of pouch batteries can take advantage of desired design parameters; improves performance and cycling; and improves capacity retention after 50 cycles; provides improved performance based on electrical conductivity and stabilization of cycling nanoscale silicon material forming in situ; and improves negative electrode active materials generally comprise high capacity silicon-based materials.
