NOVELTY - Fabricating reduced graphene oxide involves coating a portion of a substrate with a fire retardant liquid, drying the coated substrate and irradiating the portion of the substrate with a beam of electromagnetic radiation to obtain reduced graphene oxide. USE - Method for fabricating reduced graphene oxide for an electronic device selected from supercapacitors, micro-supercapacitors, pseudo capacitors, batteries, micro batteries, lithium-ion batteries, sodium-ion batteries, magnesium-ion batteries, electrodes, conductive electrodes, sensors lithium-ion capacitors, photovoltaic devices, electronic circuits, fuel cell devices, thermal management devices and biomedical devices. ADVANTAGE - The method provides a scalable and environmentally friendly route for fabricating high purity reduced graphene oxide having graphene-like electrical properties, in one-step process, without using hazardous chemicals and high temperature reduction methods. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a reduced graphene oxide, which is fabricated by the method and having a conductivity of 1700 siemens per meter (S/m).
