NOVELTY - Brake disc containing metallic niobium composition comprises main material and auxiliary material. The main material includes 93-95 wt.% iron, 1.5-2 wt.% carbon, 2-2.5 wt.% silicon, 0.8-1 wt.% manganese, 0.2-0.4 wt.% calcium, 0.1-0.3 wt.% nickel, 0.1-0.2 wt.% chromium, 0.08-0.12 wt.% niobium, 0.05-0.1 wt.% molybdenum, 0.4-0.7 wt.% copper, 0.05-0.1 wt.% aluminum and 0.05-0.1 wt.% vanadium, and unavoidable phosphorus and sulfur (balance amount); the auxiliary material includes zirconia toughened ceramic powder, magnesium-zinc-zirconium alloy powder and graphene powder; the volume ratio between zirconia toughened ceramic powder, magnesium-zirconium alloy powder and graphene powder is set to 8-12:15-18:1; and the ratio between main material and auxiliary material is set as the volume ratio between main material and auxiliary material of 100:3-5. USE - Used as brake disc containing metallic niobium composition. ADVANTAGE - The product: enhances the strength and toughness of steel through the addition of niobium alloy elements; improves high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance of steel; and has prolong service life. The method: utilizes calcium as deoxidizer, desulfurization and decarburization agent for alloys to improve the purity of brake discs, zirconia toughened ceramic powder, magnesium-zinc-zirconium alloy powder and graphene powder to achieve high strength; and enhance the plasticity, strength and heat conduction and heat dissipation of the alloy, and thus improves wear resistance and high temperature resistance of brake disc. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing brake disc containing metallic niobium. The method utilizes paraffin, ethanol, water and nitrogen.
