NOVELTY - Preparing graphene oxide using microwave expansion, comprises mixing natural crystalline flake graphite with oxidant, reacting the mixture at a constant temperature, leaching and drying the mixture to obtain graphite particles with weak oxidization intercalation, processing microwave irradiation on the obtained graphite particles to obtain a puffing graphite, adding dispersing agent to the puffing graphite, and peeling, leaching and stoving the obtained mixture. USE - The method is useful for preparing graphene oxide using microwave expansion. ADVANTAGE - The method simply and rapidly provides graphene oxide with less consumption of energy. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for the graphene oxide having a specific surface area of 300-800 sq.m/g and a thickness of 0.34-10 nm.
