NOVELTY - Controlled reduction of graphene oxide in a matrix comprises (i) using deionized water to disperse graphene oxide, and an organic solvent to disperse and dissolve the polymer matrix; (ii) utilizing organic solvents, graphene oxide and polymer matrix to prepare powdery composite materials; and (iii) reducing the powdery composite material by the immersion reduction method, and carrying out hot molding method to obtain the composite material product. USE - The method is useful for controlled reduction of graphene oxide in matrix. ADVANTAGE - The method: can improve the degree of graphene oxide dispersion and reduction in the matrix and dielectric properties of the material. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: (1) composite material prepared as mentioned above with 2% filler mass fraction and the frequency is 100 Hz, the dielectric constant is 58, the dielectric loss is 6.4, and the conductivity is 2.5x 10-8; and (2) application of the composite material as a dielectric material in embedded capacitors, artificial muscles, artificial skin, charge storage devices, sensors and actuators.
