▎ 摘  要

NOVELTY - Electrode comprises a composite of graphene/ graphite ( not greater than 90 wt.%) and ammonium copper phosphate (NH4CuPO4) (5-10 wt.%), optionally with traces of pyridine as stabilizer. The electrode being chemically stable at pH is 4-7. USE - Electrode used for the determination of ammonium ion. ADVANTAGE - The electrode measures the ammonium ion concentration due to its reversibility with ammonium ion present in the unknown solution through the measurement of electromotive force (EMF) in a fabricated of concentration cell. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a process for manufacturing an electrode, which involves mixing a solution of a copper salt with ammonium phosphate;#adding an acid to make the solution clear;#raising the pH of the solution to 5-6;#warming the solution to obtain a precipitate;#washing and drying the precipitate to obtain a powder; and#mixing the powder with graphene / graphite and a solution of a polymer and a binder to form a pasty mass, followed by casting the paste to the desired shape, to obtain the electrode.
