NOVELTY - The preparation method of bismuth-iron(II) oxide/reduced graphene oxide composite involves taking graphite as raw material to obtain graphene oxide, adding bismuth (III) nitrate pentahydrate and iron(III) chloride hexahydrate to acetone, ultrasonically processing, adding deionized water, dripping concentrated ammonia, centrifuging the precipitate, washing, dispersing the precipitate with deionized water, adding surfactant polyvinylpyrrolidone and mineralizer sodium hydroxide, stirring, pouring into reactor, placing in oven, cooling, collecting the product, washing, and drying. USE - Preparation method of bismuth-iron(II) oxide. ADVANTAGE - The method enables preparation of bismuth-iron(II) oxide with excellent photo-catalytic activity, by simple and economical process. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - The preparation method of bismuth-iron(II) oxide of formula: Bi25FeO40/reduced graphene oxide composite based on soft germanium ore ferrite involves (1) taking graphite as raw material to obtain graphene oxide using Hummers method, (2) respectively weighing 2.425 g bismuth (III) nitrate pentahydrate and 1.352 g iron(III) chloride hexahydrate, adding to 50 ml acetone, ultrasonically processing for 30 minutes, adding 200 mL deionized water, dripping 30 mL concentrated ammonia, centrifuging the precipitate at high speed, and washing with deionized water several times until the pH value is neutral, (3) dispersing the precipitate with 35 mL deionized water, adding 0.5 g surfactant polyvinylpyrrolidone and 0.8 g mineralizer sodium hydroxide, and continuously stirring, (4) pouring the prepared solution into PTFE-lined stainless steel high-temperature reactor, placing in oven at 180 degrees C for 72 hours, naturally cooling to room temperature, collecting the product, washing, and drying, and (5) weighing 0.09 g graphene oxide and 0.3 g bismuth ferrite powder, dispersing in 20 ml methanol, ultrasonically assisting, mixing suspension of graphene oxide and bismuth ferrite, continuously stirring for 24 hours, placing in oven, and drying until methanol is evaporated.
