NOVELTY - A graphene oxide-based anti-bacterial finishing agent for dyeing, is a composite material of chitosan/graphene oxide/dye. USE - Graphene oxide-based anti-bacterial finishing agent is used for dyeing for textile applications (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The graphene oxide-based anti-bacterial finishing agent is non toxic and environmentally-friendly, with suppressed cytotoxicity. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) preparation of graphene oxide-based anti-bacterial finishing agent, which involves using graphene oxide based on reaction activity of carboxyl at the surface of graphene oxide, covalently grafting a natural antibacterial material chitosan to graphene oxide based on the reactivity between acyl chloride and active amino or hydroxyl, and adsorbing the dye on plane of graphene oxide by interaction between graphene oxide and a water-soluble dye; and (2) usage of graphene oxide-based anti-bacterial finishing agent in textile applications, which involves dying the graphene oxide, ultrasonic dispersing the antibacterial finishing agent in aqueous solution, mixing uniformly, then adding epichlorohydrin as crosslinking agent, obtaining oxidized graphene-based antibacterial finishing solution, desizing, boiling and bleaching cellulose fiber fabric dipped in the obtained finishing solution, rolling for 70-100%, drying at 80-90 degrees C, baking for 1-3 minutes, then washing with water for 3-5 times, soaping, and drying.
