NOVELTY - Preparing modified graphene oxide involves replacing the hydroxyl group on the carboxyl group on the surface of graphene oxide with carbonyl derivative (I). USE - Method for preparing modified graphene oxide. ADVANTAGE - The method enables to prepare modified graphene oxide has mechanical property, tensile performance, excellent comprehensive performance and good application prospect, and improves the storage modulus and glass transition temperature of the epoxy nanocomposite material, and rigidity and heat resistance of the composite material. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing modified graphene oxide involves replacing the hydroxyl group on the carboxyl group on the surface of graphene oxide with carbonyl derivative of formula (I).. INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) an epoxy nanocomposite material, which comprises modified graphene oxide, epoxy resin, and curing agent as raw materials; and (2) a method for preparing an epoxy nanocomposite material, which involves weighing the modified graphene oxide, ultrasonically dispersing in an organic solvent, adding epoxy resin, and stirring and mixing and removing organic solvent, weighing the curing agent, adding to the system obtained, stirring and mixing, and then vacuum drying to remove bubbles, pouring the system obtained into a mold, solidifying and forming a composite material.
