NOVELTY - Preparation of reduction-oxidation graphene oxide/cerium dioxide nanoparticle composite involves dissolving cerium nitrate hexahydrate in deionized water, stirring, adding aqueous solution of cerium nitrate, transferring to polytetrafluoroethylene, adding toluene, oleic acid and ethylenediamine, providing lid into reactor, drying, obtaining ceria nanoparticles powder, dissolving cerium oxide nanoparticles and graphene oxide in deionized water and toluene, heating in oil bath and cleaning resulting black precipitate with deionized water and alcohol. USE - Preparation of reduction-oxidation graphene oxide/cerium dioxide nanoparticle composite (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The reduction-oxidation graphene oxide/cerium dioxide nanoparticle composite is easily and economically prepared with high purity. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparation of reduction-oxidation graphene oxide/cerium dioxide nanoparticle composite involves dissolving cerium nitrate hexahydrate in 15-25 ml deionized water, stirring for 30-90 minutes, adding aqueous solution of cerium nitrate with concentration of 10-50 ml/L, transferring to a 50 ml polytetrafluoroethylene, adding 5-15 ml toluene, 1-5 mL oleic acid and 0.1-0.5 ml ethylenediamine, providing a lid into the reactor, transferring to seal resistance box at 120-180 degrees C for 12-48 hours, cleaning using deionized water and alcohol, drying at 60 degrees C in a vacuum oven, obtaining drab ceria nanoparticles powder, dissolving cerium oxide nanoparticles and graphene oxide in a reaction volume of deionized water and toluene, ultrasonically dispersing for 1-3 hours, mixing aqueous solution of graphene and nanoparticles of ceria mixed toluene solution, adding mixture to 0.5-2 g sodium boron hydride and transferring to 200 ml three-necked flask, heating in an oil bath, maintaining at 25-40 degrees C, stirring for 1-4 hours, raising the temperature at 60-100 degrees C, continuing stirring for 8-11 hours after stirring, and cleaning resulting black precipitate with deionized water and alcohol. The volume ratio of mixture of water and toluene is 1:5-5:1. The ratio of graphene oxide and cerium oxide nanoparticles is 1:10-10:1.
