NOVELTY - Carbon material loaded cobalt-based catalyst comprises metal cobalt and carbon carrier. The cobalt is loaded on the carbon carrier. The carrier is processed in the pre-processing reagent and/or pre-processing gas before loading the metal cobalt. The pre-processing reagent is hydrogen peroxide, nitric acid, hydrochloric acid and/or acetic acid. The pre-processing gas is water vapor, oxygen and/or carbon dioxide. USE - The catalyst is useful in Fischer-Tropsch synthesis reaction (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The catalyst has better Fischer-Tropsch synthesis performance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: (1) preparing the cobalt-based catalyst comprising loading the soluble salt of active component cobalt on the pretreated carrier by dipping method, where the load amount of cobalt is 5.0-30 wt.%, the soluble salt of the active component is cobalt formate, cobalt acetate, cobalt nitrate, cobalt oxalate, cobalt sulfate, citric acid cobalt and malic acid cobalt, preferably cobalt formate, cobalt acetate, cobalt nitrate and/or cobalt oxalate, drying the catalyst precursor after dipping for 6-12 hours at room temperature at 40-200degrees Celsius of air atmosphere to obtain a semi-dry-based catalyst precursor and roasting the precursor of the semi-dry-base catalyst under nitrogen, argon gas or helium gas at 200-500degrees Celsius and normal pressure to obtain the dry-base catalyst; and (2) use method of the catalyst to form of the Fischer-Tropsch synthesis comprising adopting a fixed-bed reactor, loading a dry-base catalyst, activating the catalyst in an atmosphere containing hydrogen, where the hydrogen volume content is 100%, the activation temperature is 100-500degrees Celsius and the pressure is 0.1-2 MPa and switching to the reaction gas to carry out the Fischer-Tropsch synthesis reaction, where the reaction gas is a mixture of hydrogen and carbon monoxide, the volume ratio of hydrogen and carbon monoxide is 0.5-5.
