NOVELTY - A uniformly modified silicon oxide cathode material, comprises silicon oxide and carbon atoms, and is prepared by uniformly dispersing carbon atoms in silicon oxide at atomic level and combining carbon atom and silicon atom to form amorphous silicon-carbon bond. The X-ray diffraction energy spectrum XRD in solid nuclear magnetic resonance NMR detection has no silicon carbide crystal peak, and 29Si NMR spectrum between -10 to -20 ppm display, presence of silicon carbide resonance peak. The silicon oxide cathode material particles have average particle diameter D50 of 1 nm to 100 mu m, and specific surface area 0.5-40 m2/g, and amount of carbon atom in total mass of silicon oxide is 0.1-40 %mass. USE - Uniformly modified silicon oxide cathode material for lithium battery (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The material has a small volume expansion during lithium deintercalation, high conductivity to lithium ions, which improves cycle performance and rate performance of material. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of uniformly modified silicon oxide cathode material, which involves uniformly mixing silicon and silicon dioxide powder in required amount in furnace, heating at 1000-1800 degrees C to obtain steam containing silicon and oxygen element under decompression condition, introducing solution containing carbon substance in furnace, vaporizing solution containing carbon substance to obtain mixed steam, cooling and depositing mixed steam on hydrocooling plate, crushing deposited material to obtain the silicon oxide material with carbon atoms uniformly dispersed at atom level.
