NOVELTY - Halogen-free flame-retardant thermoplastic polyurethane comprises 20-90 pts. wt. thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer, 25-35 pts. wt. phosphorus-based halogen-free flame retardant, 10-15 pts. wt. modified chitosan, 6-12 pts. wt. modified polyester fiber, 2.5-3.5 pts. wt. lubricant, 5-10 pts. wt. tris (butoxyethyl) phosphate, and 2-4 pts. wt. polyurethane prepolymer. USE - Halogen-free flame-retardant thermoplastic polyurethane. ADVANTAGE - The halogen-free flame-retardant thermoplastic polyurethane has excellent mechanical property and flame retardant property. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparing halogen-free flame-retardant thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), which involves: (a) mixing the raw material of halogen-free flame-retardant thermoplastic polyurethane, stirring for 10-15 minutes to obtain a mixture; (b) extruding mixture, granulating through a twin-screw extruder; and (c)setting screw temperature of the extruder at 160-190℃ to obtain a halogen flame-retardant TPU.
