NOVELTY - Optimizing lithium ion batteries based on surface electrodeposited metal/graphene compound layers comprises electrodepositing metal/graphene compound layer on the surface of artificial graphite powder to make the cathode of lithium ion battery, electrodepositing the metal/graphene compound layer on the surface of the artificial graphite powder, using the metal salt solution as the electroplating solution for electrodeposition after mixing the single-layer graphene oxide dispersion with the artificial graphite powder dispersion, and extracting the artificial graphite powder with the metal/graphene compound layer electrodeposited on the surface from the mixed solution obtained by the reaction. USE - The material is useful for optimizing lithium ion batteries based on surface electrodeposited metal/graphene compound layers. ADVANTAGE - The method has simple operation, higher first coulombic efficiency when the prepared material is used as the cathode of a lithium ion battery, and higher specific capacity and better rate performance.
