▎ 摘  要

NOVELTY - Method for producing nano porous nitrogen co-doped activated multilayered graphene (NP-N-MLG), involves providing collected teak leaves washed with standard soap solution followed by several times washing with distilled water to removes the impurities like dust and water soluble substances, drying in the sunlight for 24 hours followed by further drying in the vacuum oven at 110° C for 24 hours, and activating the leaves with potassium hydroxide at a weight ratio of 1:1 for 24 hours, again drying the activated leaves in vacuum oven for 24 hours followed by crushing into fine powder, and placing the fine powder into the tight fit stainless-steel ampoule. USE - The method is used for producing nano porous nitrogen co-doped activated multilayered graphene used for rapid and comprehensive adsorption of methylene blue dye (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method provides a single step green synthesis of activated porous multilayered nitrogen co-doped graphene derived from waste teak leaves. The nano porous nitrogen co-doped activated multilayered graphene shows surface area of 1111.9 m2/g, pore volume of ~1.84 cm3/g and pore size of ~6.6 nm, has high adsorption capacity of 540.54 mg/g at room temperature owing to nitrogen associated defects, small pore structure and unique three-dimensional architecture. The nano porous nitrogen co-doped activated multilayered graphene has successfully used as an adsorbing material for adsorption of methylene blue dye from aqueous solution with rapid time of 9 minutes in a comprehensive and efficient manner, where the maximum calculated adsorption capacity is 540.40 mg/g at room temperature. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for the nano porous nitrogen co-doped activated multilayered graphene (NP-N-MLG) comprising waste teak leaves derived composition having surface area of 1111.9 m2/g with chemicals of analytical grade used without any further purification with potassium hydroxide (Merck 99 %) and methylene blue dye (Sigma Aldrich 99%).
