NOVELTY - Graphene-yolk-eggshell silicon-carbon composite material comprises graphene and egg yolk-egg shell silicon carbon materials loaded on the surface of graphene. The egg yolk-egg shell silicon carbon material is a composite material with amorphous carbon as the shell and silicon-based material as the core, and there is a gap between the shell and the core. USE - The material useful as cathode electrode material for lithium ion batteries. ADVANTAGE - The material has excellent electrical properties in lithium ion batteries, high first lap Coulomb efficiency and long cycle capacity retention rate. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing the material, comprising (i) dispersing silicon-based material, graphite oxide, and acid to obtain a mixed colloidal solution; (ii) adding a water-soluble salt of transition metal to the mixed colloidal solution, and adding an alkali to perform a co-precipitation reaction, followed by solid-liquid separation to obtain a solid A; (iii) dispersing the solid A and the amorphous carbon source in a solvent, performing a solvothermal reaction, and separating solid and liquid after the reaction to obtain solid B; (iv) treating solid B with an acid solution and washed with water to neutrality to obtain a precursor; and (v) carburizing the precursor.
