NOVELTY - A platinum-iridium alloy and titanium dioxide coated graphene composite material, comprises graphene, platinum-iridium alloy and titanium dioxide, and graphene acts as carrier of platinum-iridium alloy and titanium dioxide coated graphene composite material. The preparation involves coating graphene with amorphous titanium dioxide thin layer to form titanium dioxide/graphene, using platinum-iridium as carrier of titanium dioxide/graphene, self-adsorbing platinum-iridium on titanium dioxide/graphene by electrostatic force, and forming uniformly distributed platinum-iridium/titanium dioxide/graphene composite material, containing 5-20 %mass platinum-iridium alloy and 5-40 %mass titanium dioxide. USE - Platinum-iridium alloy and titanium dioxide coated graphene composite material for ethanol electrooxidation catalyst. ADVANTAGE - The composite material reduces usage amount of platinum, and improves catalytic stability and conversion efficiency of ethanol oxidation.
