NOVELTY - Preparing ultralight graphene aerogels, comprises (1) adding graphite oxide in distilled water at room temperature and then ultrasonically dispersing to obtain uniform graphite oxide solution, (2) adding polyvinylpyrrolidone in distilled water and ultrasonically dispersing to obtain uniform polyvinylpyrrolidone solution, (3) mixing the solutions in a mass ratio of 10:1-2:3 to obtain uniform and stable solutions, (4) adding obtained solutions in a hydrothermal kettle and then naturally cooling to obtain cylindrical hydrogel, and (5) vacuum freezing the hydrogel and drying. USE - The method is useful for preparing ultralight graphene aerogels (claimed), which are useful in adsorption and sensor fields. ADVANTAGE - The method prepares the ultralight graphene aerogels with high elasticity.
