NOVELTY - A graphene oxide/amphoteric chitosan intercalation composite material preparation method involves preparing graphene oxide dispersion liquid. Amphoteric chitosan is prepared by adding chitosan, isopropyl alcohol, sodium hydroxide solution and acetic acid in a reactor, heating the mixture to obtain carboxymethyl chitosan, adding quaternary ammonium reagent and sodium hydroxide solution to the carboxymethyl chitosan and heating and reacting to obtain amphoteric chitosan. Intercalation is performed on the dispersion liquid and the amphoteric chitosan solution to obtain a finished product. USE - Method for preparing graphene oxide/amphoteric chitosan intercalation composite material that is utilized for sewage treatment. ADVANTAGE - The method enables preparing the graphene oxide/amphoteric chitosan intercalation composite material with high efficiency and low sludge content in a simple manner. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - A graphene oxide/amphoteric chitosan intercalation composite material preparation method involves preparing graphene oxide dispersion liquid by mixing 1-3 pts. wt. flake graphite, 40-46 pts. wt. sodium nitrate and 1-3 pts. wt. concentrated sulfuric acid in a reactor at 0-4 degrees C, adding 4-6 pts. wt. potassium permanganate to the mixture and stirring for 1 hour, heating the mixture at 10-15 degrees C for 2 hours to agitate and reacting the mixture at 35-40 degrees C for 10-12 hours to change color of the solution to purple, adding 200-400 pts.wt. deionized water to the solution at 70-85 degrees C and reacting for 30 minutes, adding 30 wt.% hydrogen peroxide to the reacted solution followed by sedimenting and washing to obtain dispersion liquid. Amphoteric chitosan is prepared by adding 1-3 mass% chitosan, 20-40 mass% isopropyl alcohol, 1-3 mass% sodium hydroxide solution with concentration of 40% and 1-1.5 mass% acetic acid in the reactor, heating the mixture at 50 degrees C for 6-8 hours to obtain carboxymethyl chitosan, adding 0.8-1.2 mass% quaternary ammonium reagent and 2.5-3.5 mass% sodium hydroxide solution to the obtained carboxymethyl chitosan and heating and reacting at 60 degrees C for 3-5 hours to obtain amphoteric chitosan. Intercalation is performed on the graphene oxide dispersion liquid and the amphoteric chitosan solution at 600 W for 2-3 hours to obtain a finished product.
