NOVELTY - Preparation of graphene oxide enhanced water-absorbing swellable rubber involves (1) taking and ultrasonically dispersing graphene oxide in deionized water to obtain graphene oxide aqueous dispersion, (2) mixing a rubber latex with the graphene oxide aqueous dispersion, stirring to obtain a graphene oxide/rubber latex mixture, and pouring the graphene oxide/rubber latex mixture into the flocculant solution, fully stirring until completing flocculation to obtain graphene oxide/rubber flocculant gel, and washing the flocculant gel and fully drying to obtain the graphene oxide/rubber masterbatch, and (3) mixing graphene oxide/rubber masterbatch with water-absorbing materials and additives to prepare a rubber compound, and performing vulcanization, in which using 100 pts. wt. rubber, and 0.1-50 pts. wt. graphene oxide. USE - Preparation of graphene oxide-enhanced water-absorbing swellable rubber (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables simple preparation of graphene oxide-enhanced water-absorbing swellable rubber with excellent performance, mechanical property, water absorption property, controllability, and no organic solvent pollution.
