NOVELTY - Preparing modified graphene/aqueous epoxy resin composite coating comprises (1) preparing modified graphene/graphene oxide dispersion by ball milling graphene flakes into nano powder, ultrasonically dispersing e.g. 1-2 pts. wt. powdered graphene, 2-4 pts. wt. dispersant, 0.2-0.4 pts. wt. phase transfer catalyst and 15-25 pts. wt. distilled water at normal temperature for 0.5-2 hours, stirring, condensing and refluxing for 2-4 hours to obtain uniform and stable modified graphene dispersion and (2) preparing modified graphene/aqueous epoxy resin composite coating by mixing e.g. 15-35 pts. wt. aqueous epoxy resin, 1.2-6.3 pts. wt. modified graphene dispersion, 4-6 pts. wt. curing agent, 0.6-1.3 pts. wt. light calcium carbonate, 1.3-2.1 pts. wt. gas phase nano silicon dioxide, 1.5-2.2 pts. wt. film-forming auxiliary agent, 1.5-2 pts. wt. aqueous flatting agent and 2-3 pts. wt. toughening agent and stirring to obtain modified graphene/aqueous epoxy resin composite coating. USE - The method is useful for preparing modified graphene/aqueous epoxy resin composite coating. ADVANTAGE - The coating: has excellent performance, improved corrosion resistance, first level adhesion, impact strength of 50 kg and hardness of 0.62; remains in original state under positive and negative impact; and can bend without damage in the bearing with radius of 0.5 mm thus has good flexibility.
