NOVELTY - Preparation of spinel-type magnetic metal iron oxide/graphene composite material involves taking water soluble metal salts of metal and iron as precursors, ultrasonically dispersing graphite oxide in ethanol or water solvent to obtain oxidized graphene dispersion; adding metal and iron salt solution in the molar ratio of 1:2 into graphene oxide dispersion to fully stir and mix to obtain mixed solution; regulating pH value of mixed solution to more than 10 with alkali liquor, and adding reducing agent to stir at 80-150 degrees C for 4-10 hours; and calcining ground powder. USE - For preparation of spinel-type magnetic metal iron oxide (MFe2O4)/graphene composite material (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method shows high efficiency, has low cost, environmentally-friendly, simple technique, and the spinel magnetic MFe2O4/graphene composite material can be widely applied to the magnetic targeting material, each kind of catalyst, an electromagnetic wave shielding material, super capacitor electrode material and other related to functional material field. The magnetic MFe2O4 naoparticles in the composite material have high load capacity, stable structure, uniformity, good dispersity, and strong binding force with graphene, therefore can be widely applied to magnetic targeting materials and other related functional materials. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparation of spinel-type magnetic metal iron oxide (MFe2O4)/graphene composite material involves taking water soluble metal salts of M2+ and Fe3+ as precursors, taking graphite oxide as substrate, firstly ultrasonically dispersing the graphite oxide in ethanol or water solvent to obtain oxidized graphene dispersion; then adding the M2+ and Fe3+ salt solution in the molar ratio of 1:2 into the graphene oxide dispersion to fully stir and mix to obtain the mixed solution; regulating pH value of the mixed solution to more than 10 with alkali liquor, and adding a reducing agent to stir at 80-150 degrees C for 4-10 hours; after the end of reaction, separating, washing, drying and grinding; finally calcining the ground powder in a nitrogen or argon atmosphere at 300 degrees C for 2-10 hours.
