NOVELTY - A graphene/silver-tetracyanoquinodimethane (Ag-TCNQ) quantum dot composite material comprises two-dimensional low-defect graphene as carrier, and zero-dimensional Ag-TCNQ quantum dot supported on the carrier. USE - The graphene/silver-tetracyanoquinodimethane quantum dot composite material is used as electrode material for a zinc-air battery (claimed) ADVANTAGE - The composite material exhibits good electrocatalytic oxygen reduction performance, and can change the number of electron transfers (two electrons or four electrons) during the electrochemical reaction by adjusting the defect degree of graphene. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for composite material comprising placing silver nitrate solution in the low-defect graphene suspension, reacting for a period of time, washing by centrifugation in acetonitrile, adding 7,7,8,8-tetracyanoquinodimethane organic ligand in acetonitrile solution, standing, and centrifuging.
