NOVELTY - Metal-modified ceramic foam ozone catalyst comprises ceramic foam carrier, a transition coating and active components. The foamed ceramic carrier has an open-cell meshed foam structure, and the pores of the foamed ceramic carrier contain three-dimensional through-millimeter pores.The transition coating includes alpha-alumina and/or carbon materials. The active component is a metal oxide. The mass of the metal modified ceramic foamed ozone catalyst is 100 wt.%, the loading of the transition coating is 1-5 wt.%, and the loading of the active component is 1-10 wt.%. USE - Metal-modified ceramic foam ozone catalyst. ADVANTAGE - The catalyst strengthens the catalytic reaction process on the two scales of catalytic active surface and catalytic kinetics, and has a good catalytic ozone oxidation effect. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparing metal modified foamed ceramic ozone catalyst, which involves cleaning the foamed ceramic carrier to be neutral by using deionized water, then sequentially soaking and cleaning by using sodium hydroxide and hydrochloric acid solution, then washing to be neutral by using the deionized water, drying and then calcining for later use at 400-600?oC, soaking the activated foamed ceramic carrier in alumina sol, pulling out at a constant speed, drying and calcining for later use, and repeating the processes to increase the quality of the coating, the solid content of alpha-alumina in the aluminum sol is 15 wt.%, the calcining temperature is 500-600?oC, and the calcining time is 4 hours, preparing a metal water-soluble precursor solution with the concentration of 0.1-0.5 mol/L, dipping the coated foamed ceramic carrier in a metal water-soluble precursor solution for 8-12 hours at 25?oC, heating and drying at 110?oC, dipping catalyst and drying for 2-4 hours in a muffle furnace at 350-650?oC.
