NOVELTY - Preparing sunset yellow detecting electrochemical sensor comprises ultrasonically dispersing functionalized graphene in deionized water, adding silver nanoparticle sol, allowing to stand, washing, drying, adding sunset yellow template molecule, functional methacrylate monomer, ethylene glycol dimethacrylate cross-linking agent, azobisisobutyronitrile initiator, methanol and water, washing, drying, removing template molecule, washing, drying, mixing chitosan and acetic acid mixture and deionized water, grinding mirror surface glassy carbon electrode surface and naturally drying. USE - The sunset yellow detecting electrochemical sensor is useful for detecting sunset yellow molecule (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The sensor has better conductivity, selectivity and sensitivity. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing sunset yellow detecting electrochemical sensor comprises (i) preparing functionalized graphene oxide (graphene oxide- mercaptopropyltrimethoxysilane), (ii) dissolving silver nitrate solid in deionized water, stirring, heating, adding sodium citrate solution, heating until yellow-green solution, stirring, cooling to room temperature to obtain yellow-green silver nanoparticle sol, ultrasonically dispersing functionalized graphene in deionized water, adding silver nanoparticle sol, allowing to stand at room temperature, washing and drying to obtain functionalized graphene oxide/silver nanoparticle composite, (iii) adding sunset yellow template molecule, functional methacrylate monomer, ethylene glycol dimethacrylate cross-linking agent, azobisisobutyronitrile initiator, methanol and water, mixing, magnetically stirring, washing, drying, removing template molecule using soxhlet extraction, washing with methanol and deionized water and drying to obtain graphene/silver nanoparticles imprinted polymers, (iv) dissolving chitosan and acetic acid mixture in deionized water, mixing, adding graphene/silver nanoparticles imprinted polymers, and mixing to obtain modified electrode material, and (v) grinding mirror surface glassy carbon electrode surface and naturally drying. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for use method comprising connecting graphene/silver nanoparticles imprinted polymer modified electrode as working electrode, saturated calomel electrode as reference electrode and platinum wire as the counter electrode of three-electrode system to an electrochemical analyzer and detecting sunset yellow molecule.
