NOVELTY - Preparing composite phase change material comprises (i) adding polyvinyl alcohol into deionized water, and stirring to dissolve to obtain polyvinyl alcohol solution, (ii) adding cross-linking agent into deionized water, and stirring to dissolve to obtain cross-linking agent solution, (ii) adding functional substance into the cross-linking agent solution, and ultrasonically stirring to obtain first mixed solution, (iv) adding the first mixed solution into the polyvinyl alcohol solution and stirring until the dispersion is uniform to obtain second mixed solution, (v) pre-freezing the second mixed solution to solid state, then freezing and drying to obtain polyvinyl alcohol-based composite aerogel, (vi) heating and melting the phase change core material to obtain phase-change core material solution, and (vii) vacuum immersing the polyvinyl alcohol-based composite aerogel into phase change core material solution, and cooling to room temperature. USE - The method is useful for preparing composite phase-change material. ADVANTAGE - The composite phase change material has high enthalpy, low leakage rate, high thermal conductivity, and excellent flame retardant performance.
