NOVELTY - Binder resin polymerized by methyl methacrylate, 3-7C alkyl methacrylate, monomer prepared by condensation of saturated diacid compound and hydroxy (2-4C)alkyl methacrylate, cyclo(3-6C)alkyl methacrylate, and methacrylate (I). USE - The binder resin is useful in coating composition for electromagnetic wave shielding film (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The binder resin provides: coating composition having excellent dispersion stability for long period of time, excellent sprayability, and can implement thin film electromagnetic shielding film having uniform physical properties by spraying; and electromagnetic wave shielding film having excellent heat resistance, transparency, cross-cut characteristics and pencil hardness. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Binder resin polymerized by methyl methacrylate, 3-7C alkyl methacrylate, monomer prepared by condensation of saturated diacid compound and hydroxy (2-4C)alkyl methacrylate, cyclo(3-6C)alkyl methacrylate, and methacrylate of formula (CH2=C(R2)-C(=O)-R1-O-C(=O)-M1) (I). M1 = metal chalcogen compound containing at least two of Mo, W, Sn, Bi and Sb, and chalcogen containing at least two of S, Se and Te; R1 = 2-6C = optionally substituted alkylene; and R2 = H or methyl. INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: (1) coating composition for electromagnetic wave shielding, comprising binder resin, a conductive filler, and a diluent; and (2) electromagnetic wave shielding film comprising the binder resin.
