NOVELTY - Construct molecule having an affinity to the Chikungunya virus (CHIKV) and comprising polymer arms having a peptide comprising amino acid sequence of (SEQ ID NOs: 1-4) and D-amino and L-amino acid versions of the sequences, is new. USE - Construct molecule for use in capture agent for assaying (all claimed), diagnosing and treating chikungunya virus (CHIKV). No biological data given. ADVANTAGE - The construct molecule has greatly improved affinity and selectivity for the target protein, and provides rapid screening of full protein targets, CHIKV E2 proteins for the development of peptide-based reagents used as highly stable bio detection receptors for point-of-need sensing and diagnostics and therapeutic measures. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Construct molecule having an affinity to the chikungunya virus (CHIKV) and comprising polymer arms having a peptide comprising amino acid sequence of Trp-Ile-Tyr-Tyr-Ile (SEQ ID NO: 1), Tyr-Trp-His-Trp-Ser (SEQ ID NO: 2), Ile-Tyr-Leu-Arg-Tyr (SEQ ID NO: 3), Phe-Trp-Gln-Ile-Leu (SEQ ID NO: 4) and D-amino and L-amino acid versions of the sequences, is new.
