NOVELTY - An electrode material is obtained by supporting nickel particles in a reduced graphene oxide, in which 40-70% of the total number of nickel particles supported on the reduced graphene oxide have a diameter of 50-70 nm, and has a specific surface area of 6.8-8.8 g/m2. USE - Electrode material is used in storage of hydrogen used as alternative fuel for internal combustion engine, and fuel cell. ADVANTAGE - The electrode material has high hydrogen storage amount. The carbon material is safe and economical. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for manufacture of electrode material, which involves mixing a carbon material, sodium borohydride and nickel chloride, stirring to support nickel on the carbon material, and vacuum-drying the nickel-supported carbon material. The weight ratio of the carbon material with respect to nickel chloride is 1:0.15 to 1:0.2. The carbon material is reduced graphene oxide.
