NOVELTY - Composite comprises metal oxide nanorods, graphene or its aggregate, and metal or metal oxide nanoparticles. The metal oxide nanorods, graphene or its aggregate and metal or metal oxide nanoparticles are mixed with binder. USE - The composite is useful in a gas sensor for detecting volatile compounds emitted from outbreathing of a human body (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The composite allows the sensor to efficiently detect the volatile compounds with excellent selectivity, reactivity and reaction rate. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for: (1) a method for manufacturing the composite including graphene, nanoparticle and metal oxide nanorod in a dispersed solution; and (2) a gas sensor for detecting volatile organic compound.
